Myron M. Samole

Myron M. SamoleMr. Samole received his Juris Doctor from De Paul University, Chicago, Illinois, in 1967, was a J.V.S. Service scholar in 1968, and attended the Lawyers Institute at John Marshall School of Law for Post Graduate studies, Chicago, Illinois 1967-1969. He has been a member of the Illinois Bar since 1967 and of the Florida Bar since 1981. He practiced law from 1967 to 1979 in Illinois, and has continued in the practice of law in Florida since 1981. He has been involved in various business enterprises since 1967, and has been listed in Who's Who in American Law each year since its inception. He has lectured and published various articles, including licensing in foreign trade.

Mr. Samole has been a member of the US District Court in the Northern District of Illinois since 1968; the US Court of Appeals (7th cir.) since 1968; and the US District Court in the Southern District of Florida since 1989. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, the South Miami - Kendall Bar Association, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Samole engages in the general practice of law, including corporate and business related matters, such as buy-sell and shareholder agreements, stock and/or bulk sales of assets, and other related areas. Other spheres of concentration include commercial litigation, family and matrimonial, negligence, and real property.

Martin I. Berger

Martin I. BergerMr. Berger has been engaged in Personal Injury, Sexual Harassment, Complex Commercial and General Civil Litigation in both State and Federal courts throughout the State of Florida, and has argued appeals in the Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal of Florida.

Mr. Berger earned his BA degree from the University of Chicago in 1989, where he majored in Economics, and received his JD from the National Law Center at George Washington University in 1992, where he earned Honors in Trial Advocacy. Mr. Berger is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Employment Rights Section of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Florida Trial Lawyers Association, Dade County Bar Association, and the Florida Bar. Mr. Berger has received two “Exceptional Participation” awards for Pro Bono Service from the Put Something Back Program of the Florida Bar.

Mr. Berger’s practice will continue to concentrate in complex personal injury, sexual harassment and commercial litigation matters. Having recently obtained a series of large verdicts/settlements against multinational corporations, Mr. Berger hopes to continue the firm’s success while ensuring that everyone gets their day in court.

Robert O. Schwarz

Robert O. SchwarzMr. Schwarz was born and raised in Miami, Florida, having graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. in 1981, where he graduated cum laude and with honors in government. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1984, and in that same year, he was admitted to the Florida Bar. He has practiced law in South Florida since 1984.

Mr. Schwarz helped found Fanfare, the original support group for the New World Symphony, and he served as an officer and director of this organization for eight years.

Mr. Schwarz engages in the general practice of transactional law, including commercial and residential real estate transactions, purchases and sales of businesses, and corporate and business matters, such as shareholder and employment agreements. His practice also includes estate planning, probate and guardianship, and appellate matters.

Zachary A. Hicks
Zachary HicksMr. Hicks is an associate with Samole & Berger, P.A. His primary practice areas are in “no fault” insurance litigation, personal injury, landlord/tenant disputes, collections, and commercial litigation.

Mr. Hicks received his Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University in 1999 with a double major in History and Political Science. He graduated cum laude and received Honors in History for his thesis on the conservation movement in Southern Appalachia, which was published in 2006. Mr. Hicks also served as a volunteer in the Peace Corps from 2000 to 2002 in the Dominican Republic.

He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2005. Mr. Hicks graduated magna cum laude and was an Editor of the International and Comparative Law Review. He was also the Greenberg Traurig Fellow in the Community Economic Development and Design subgroup of the Center for Ethics and Public Service for two years. Mr. Hicks was also selected to the Order of the Coif.

Mr. Hicks is a member of the Florida Justice Association, the American Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Florida Bar. He is also fluent in Spanish.
