Martin I. Berger

Martin Berger has been engaged in Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, Complex Commercial and General Civil Litigation in both State and Federal courts throughout the State of Florida, and has argued appeals in the Third and Fourth District Courts of Appeal of Florida. He continues to head the litigation department of Samole, Berger & Hicks, P.A., handling injury and insurance cases of all sizes and types. Throughout his career, Mr. Berger has secured settlements that total in the millions of dollars, and he never hesitates to take on large corporations that have deprived his clients of their rights.

Mr. Berger earned his BA degree from the University of Chicago in 1989, where he majored in Economics, and received his Juris Doctorate from the National Law Center at George Washington University in 1992, where he earned Honors in Trial Advocacy. Mr. Berger is or has been a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Employment Rights Section of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Florida Trial Lawyers Association, Dade County Bar Association, and the Florida Bar.

Mr. Berger has also been recognized for his outstanding contributions to the community. In 2002, Mr. Berger was named the Guardian Ad Litem of the year by the Put Something Back Program of the Dade County Bar Association, for his representation of children involved in custody and paternity actions. He continues to represent children in need and strives to always make this an active part of his practice.

Personally. Mr. Berger grew up in the Miami area and is a graduate of Palmetto Senior High School. He resides in Pinecrest, Florida, with his wife, Karen, and four children.

Mr. Berger’s practice will continue to concentrate in complex personal injury, wrongful death, sexual harassment and commercial litigation matters. Having recently obtained a series of large verdicts/settlements against multinational corporations, Mr. Berger hopes to continue the firm’s success while ensuring that everyone gets their day in court.
